Innovation: still the Holy Grail of management.

‘Daily Thoughts’ is in pause mode for a few days.. You may have missed some of these. Here is a quick way to continue some thinking during the pause.

Continuous improvement was a big thing many years ago. It was portrayed as a key management practice. I think today people think of it more in terms of ‘normal life’ and ‘normal management’, not as something that needs a label and a theory. However, at some threshold, continuous improvement may become dangerous [1], when fiddling with the system gives us an illusion of progress.

Innovation continues to be the Holy Grail. But looking at disruptive innovation as a one-side-fits-all solution, is the wrong approach. Worth reflecting on this: Full-blown Disruptive Innovation is not the Holy Grail for any business. But injections of Disruptive and Critical Thinking could be life saving [2]

Explore the innovation theme and compile your own ideas for your team by using the Lego pieces of the Daily Thoughts. There are dozens of Daily Thought touching upon it.

The best way is to search within the search box [3] or via the ‘Other articles by categories’ in the site.

These Thoughts are written for that purpose, not to ‘agree/disagree, but stimulate fresh thinking coming from…you.

Experiment with this, create your own collection. Pass it on.
