Three past favourites. Reflections for that little time over the week end:
The things you don’t have to say make you rich. I discovered William Stafford only in recent years through the writings of the latest John O’Donohue and found this little poem so powerful. I use it in my Leadership programmes.
Never sell your time. Some people have commented to me that it triggers lots of questions about ‘contractual agreements’, well beyond the obvious ones of consultants and third party providers of services. Interesting in the week that the French parliament has decided that not only 35 hours a week is the maximum work (this has been in place in France for years) but also no work messages, responses, emails, texts, use your work- smartphone, react to the boss after 6 pm!
In doubt make it personal. Easy to forget in times when we are asked to be detached and leave our ‘personal emotions’ outside the door. A good lesson from my TEDx talk preparation.
And the very latest of the week below
Have a good week end!
